What accessories are recommended?
A Diaper Sprayer This simple sprayer attaches quickly and easily to your toilet and comes in handy for rinsing any solids that are not easily removed by shaking alone. Cloth Wipes Honestly the easiest way to wipe when using cloth diapers! Toss cloth wipes in the diaper pail and wash them right along with your diapers! Just moisten with water before use or store moist in a wipes warmer. Pamper that baby! Traveling? Just store pre-moistened wipes in a sealing, plastic bag or use a plastic travel case sold for disposable wipes. You can also store a spray bottle of water or bumGenius bottom spray on your changing table or in your diaper bag, spray when needed, and wipe with a dry cloth wipe. A Wet Bag You’ll want a waterproof bag with a tight seal to use when traveling and running errands. We highly recommend Bummis or Planet Wise wet bags, which can be tossed right into your washer along with your diapers when you return home! See wet bags on the accessories page. A Diaper Pail Liner A waterproof, cloth diaper pail liner is ideal. On laundry day, just remove the entire liner and wash it with your diapers! We recommend purchasing two so that you’ll have one for use when the other is in the wash. The Planet Wise Pail Liner is a sturdy and economical choice. Fleece Liners A thin fleece liner can be placed next to baby’s skin inside any diaper to wick away moisture and provide a stay-dry effect. This is especially nice for overnight diapering, naps, or outings. For babies with sensitive skin, this may help prevent rash. Fleece liners can also make cleaning up messes a breeze! click here *Note: Fleece does not add extra absorbency. Fleece just provides a stay-dry layer. If you need extra absorbency, we recommend using a diaper doubler (below). Diaper Doublers A diaper doubler is a thin, extra layer of absorbency that can be added to a diaper anytime extra absorbency is needed. Doublers are perfect for overnight diapering, naps, and outings. Knickernappies Stay-Dry hemp doublers also provide the added benefit of a layer of fleece on one side to help keep baby’s bottom drier. Lay doubler on top of any type of diaper to boost absorbancy. To keep wetness away from your baby’s skin, lay the fleece side next to baby. For potty training, simply turn the doubler over to the hemp side so baby feels the wetness.

When using a good wrap style cover such as a Thirsties diaper cover, diaper pins are not necessary! That’s right…NO PINS! Just fold your prefold, lay it inside of a wrap style cover, and close. However, some parents choose to use pull up style diaper covers or like the added protection of a pinned diaper under a cover. A new fastener called a Snappi can be used to secure a diaper without the risk of pricking the baby. The Snappi is an EASY to use fastener that offers a PRACTICAL and RELIABLE way to fasten a cloth diaper, replacing the diaper pin. It comes in a variety of colors and is made from a stretchable non-toxic material, which is T-shaped with grips on each end. These grips hook into the diaper fabric to ensure a snug-fitting diaper with enough natural movement for the baby.
